Maryanne Nicholls lives in Suffolk and works from her studio at home. After graduating with a First Class honours degree from Suffolk College (University of East Anglia) in 1998 she went on to Norwich School of Art and Design to complete her Masters in Fine Art. Her main preoccupation is creating large individual pieces for gardens and parklands - using a combination of fibreglass, resin, steel and copper. Her work explores pre-classical and classical cultures – often in the guise of vessels or the human figure – using pared-down forms to set within the landscape.
